I remember a few years ago before the site crash I believe, there was a member who's wife was driving a 2012 Ford Edge when she called him to say that the car just stopped running. He went to check it out and tried driving it to get a better idea of what was happening. Got a little bit before it blew. Turns out it was the water pump, and through the ultimate wisdom of the Ford engineers, the pump was installed in the engine instead of how it would be normally positioned more independently outside. Turns out the seals failed and the engine oil mixed with the coolant and...well you know how it ended. Anyway, my wife has the same car and it's coming up on the 90k miles mark ( seem to remember him saying it was how many miles he had on his ) and thought about getting it replaced before it blows my engine too. So, looking for a referral to a mechanic in metro Phoenix that could do the job at a reasonable price.
