I worked with Bob back in the 1970s. He was a talented writer, comedian, actor, producer. His family were and still are writers, producers and so on.

He made many comedy "Skits" for many TV shows, "Officer Judy" for the "Smothers Brothers" Show. His own show was called "Super Dave Osborne" and was a hit for a few seasons. As a writer he can be read about over on IMDB or Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Einstein

Here is a TV late night show. 'Campy"..

May your friend R.I.P.  I’m sorry for your loss @JDMeister
He was an interesting guy. Like many comedians, very self conscious.

But, very smart, and continued to write for many TV shows.

His younger brother is Albert Brooks and he still writes.

I wish I had been gifted his 356 Porsche roadster. Maybe next time.

Bob wrote this film for "The Smothers Brothers" titled

"Another Nice Mess". Filmed in Beverly Hills using the old Howard Hughes mansion.

The Hughes mansion was owned then by Ava Gabor. I spent a couple of weeks there.

The movie stared Rich Little as Richard Nixon. The dialog was all as Laurel and Hardy.

RIP. I remember Super Dave. Peace

Loved Super Dave and his Side Kick Toyota Kawasaki!

RIP Super Dave, your stuff was great entertainment.
