because his leg is having serious issues and he doesn't want to do more damage.  He's lucky to be walking let alone make the cut in a PGA major.  

 
Heard on the news he was having pains in his back too. This is the first time having to withdraw since coming back this last year. Bummer, but like Reslbadlarry mentioned he’s luck to be walking the course period. 

 
Probably getting paid just to show up. 
The further he goes, the more money he gets.

Bummer for Tiger.  I was hoping he would play well.  That leg injury was no joke.  Hopefully he can make a go of the British Open and the U.S. Open.  

 
He should have never signed up. It was a depressing sight watching him play like that! Peace

 
If you were watching him on Saturday, you knew Sunday playing wasn't going to happen.  He was hurting big time.

 
It was painful to watch him try to make the cut.

He should just heal up then come back.

 
i bet the weather did a number on alot of them, hell it was like upper 90's plus and humidity sucked to 60's and windy lol.
