So, my son Jacob is a photographer (@j.nuibe.photography on IG) and just upgraded to a new camera, the Canon R5 Mark II. He specializes in action still photos, but wanted to take a shot at some video editing. This was shot during our Xmas/NY trip. He planned out the video and did all of the setup and editing, I just held the camera for him. And of course he did the hardest part, the riding. Check it out in 4K quality and tell me this kid doesn't shred on a quad. It's a fairly long video, but it's all action.

Everything about that vid rocked...

Great into. Great music. Great riding, even in the baby dunes!!!

In the big dunes that kid would shread fo sure...

Well done.

👏👍🏼

The video was filmed on a run between Wash 27 and the swing set, passing China Wall on the way. So there were lots of big dunes, just hard to shoot interesting video of a quad when it's in a huge sandcar size bowl. He's a great dune leader and leads all of our rides these days.

I just showed my kids it and they loved it! My son wants a quad upgrade now.. 😳

Agreed.

It's a great vid no matter what. 👍🏼

i subscribed, and he has some bad ass glamis photo's on his site, might have to pick some up, some great action shots

Thanks guys. I'll pass on the feedback. I was worried my unsteady hand shooting would screw up the video 🤣. I haven't shot pics or video in years since he took over.

Absolutely sick!!!! I sent the video to a few friends that said the same thing. That kid is a beast on a quad. How old is he?

Thanks. He just turned 21, but been riding since he was 3. He's definitely far better than I ever was on a quad.

He’s one of the best photographers of glamis , good to see he can ride too
Great vid

Everything about that video was bad ass except the alarm clock at the beginning. I just retired and hoped to never hear another one of those things again. Gave me a heart attack. lol

Kiled it! Great edit, perfect duration, too. Enough to keep you interested and short enough to want more. Need more! Thanks!

Is he using a gimbal like a ronin?

This was shot just holding the camera. Not easy, especially as some shots were done with a massive 100-400 L series lens hanging off the front. But this was a first attempt to see how he likes editing etc. The shots where I was walking along side him, we used a cheap $19 handle to place my hand above the camera at least. I think based on how this turned out, he may invest in more equipment, but he has to recover first from the $4300 he just dropped on this new camera body ;)

What editing software are you guys using? 🤔

Great video, it made my thumb itch and my shoulders sore. I really miss riding a quad at times
