RACE READY OFF ROAD.  Hot damn Slappy thinks just the name itself is Slapptacious…

welcome aboard FTG

Thanks GM and the GD team, and Of Course Slappy !

So here's the story ...

Bottom line -   I Bought a cool off road  dune and desert  race and play store in San Diego and I am taking it to the next level!

the longer version  -Some of you who know me, also know I have been building cars and engines  since I was teen and going to G religiously ever since.

I get asked a lot of Q's about whats best to buy and how certain things work and its always been because I think it's hard in certain areas to find a parts house for our type of specialized products that has knowledgeable staff and knows the parts they are selling and has used them

And IMO the San Diego area was really missing that especially for Duners. at least in the last few years...

Race Ready  is pretty well known in the area and has been around for 40 Years and that alone says something .... Bob Hummel who founded the company is one super knowledgeable guy when it comes to Baja and desert racing.  Race Ready was and IS a one stop for that crowd...  I am truly amazed that  I have met more Baja 500 and 1000 winners in the last couple months than I have ever (except Robbie Gordon I already met him a few times ..)

This adventure started when I got a call last fall from a friend saying Bob was looking to "mostly retire"  I knew Race Ready, I bought stuff there , So  I jumped at the chance to take what Race Ready had and "supercharge it"  (those who know me know I like boost!)  and so we struck a deal and Race Ready was Reborn a few miles from the one location in a bigger ~4,000 sq ft space and with Loads more product offerings and inventory including everything for UTVs and more and more Sand Car and UTV parts being added daily - and a new website by next month which I hope is the best in the business.  Bob is still around and his right hand man Mike is as well -  Mike really  knows everything that goes into a Class 11 to a Trophy trucks and knows every part number.

What you should care about :-)

Of course I set up a GD members discount program and you will be able to log into the new website and see that soon or just call in  - we are calling it the "Race Ready Winners Circle"  Just DM me and I'll out you on the list.

We are also doing an open house on April 20th at the new Location ... There will be Food, giveaways, lots of race and sand cars ( and if you want to show off yours let me know)  we'll have some select innovative vendors attending and showing off their stuff  Like GearOne  that also supports the site

Please join us if you can then - or just stop in and say hi if you are in the area ...

I will post the invite  here ...

I hope to see many of you soon!

FTG

Agreed. And thank you too Parker.

This is Great News!!!

I will tell a quick tale of an encounter I had with Alex this year back in January (did not know him or that he was Fullthrottleguy).  I was doing a full rebuild on my Fox shocks for my truck and had ordered everything from Kartek.  Kartek was cool, there website and customer service  were helpful, so everything from parts to even the tools to do the work I ordered.  I waited on shipping couple days and then everything finally came boxed and packaged nicely. I open the box, go through everything and its all there EXCEPT for one of the hoses for the reservoirs (Needed 4 only got 3).  Scratching my head I go back and check my invoice to make sure I put in the correct order and yes everything was correct on my end so I call them and ask, What's up?  They say, we only had 3 so that's all we sent. (((( WTF KARTEK!!!! )))) are you kidding me, I wait all this time and not even a phone call, text, email or anything!!!!!! Bad on them I guess.

So now there I am scrambling trying to find the hose from a different supplier.  I call everywhere and "nobody" has it, DAMN IT!!!!  then I remember Raceready, they're right down the street from me. How could I have forgotten about them?  I mostly bought from them back in the day when I first built my car.  I give them a call and Alex answers, I tell him my situation and he tells me , "Oh yeah, I have a bunch of those hoses but they're all put away in boxes and I really have no idea where exactly they might be, we are in the process of moving locations." Then he says," Give me your number and if I get a chance I will look for them."

I think to myself, ya whatever bro, if you don't have them just say you don't have them!!! I go ahead and give him my number anyways then continue to look elsewhere. Later that evening I get a call back from Alex, " Hey bud, do you still need that hose, I opened a bunch of boxes and found them".  Now keep in mind I told him all I needed was one, I thought for sure if the whole boxes story was true he wouldn't even bother checking for only one hose. . . . .   I say, "yes , can I come over and get it?" he gives me the new address and I shoot over there with the quickness.  When I get there the whole place is under construction, with construction workers literally still working. Oh and BOXES EVERYWHERE !!!!!!

Right away I think to myself, what kind of a person goes through the trouble to find one hose for someone who didn't even bother purchasing any of the other items needed for the rebuild, "especially in the middle of a move and construction." Well needless to say I buy the hose from him then on top of it all he stops and checks with me to make sure I am doing the rebuild correctly.  He begins to give me pointers on how he does it and answers many questions that I was unsure of on top of other things.

Alex is an awesome human being and what GREAT businesses are made of,  I have no doubt he will have great success and wish him the best of luck.  Thank You Alex for the help you gave me then and I am sure we will meet again. . . . . . PEACE!!!          (((   SO much for the quick tale, L.O.L.   )))

                                                                                                                            . . . . . . . . .   Don't think I've ever typed this much before in my life, this sucks!!!!!

              P.S.

      Nothing against Kartek, I'm sure it was just a bad experience for me that time. . . . . . . . .PEACE OUT x 2!!!!!
