dont know the details but apparently off roaders had a recent 

court victory regarding pismo.

maybe someone else knows more about it.

FOOD has been getting several court victories for Pismo.   

 
This sounds like a huge win. I hope it means they will open back up the riding area that was taken away. They have closed so much and limited access to the point people have stopped going. On top of that they were playing games with access using the King tides and or the creek flow to close the beach to visitors. I really want this place to stay open but I personally quit going as it just wasn't worth the effort.

As a kid I remember being able to ride to Devil's Slide.  That place was a lot of fun when it was completely opened. 

 
Great victory. 
Pismo was my introduction to the sand dunes in 1972 with a 40 hp Meyer’s Manx. I couldn’t make it up Devil’s Slide those days but had a good time everywhere else. 
If it opens up, I’ll have to give it another try.

I doubt it will be fully opened like it was until the early 80s.  I believe some of the land we rode on back then was private property.   Be nice to get it to the original size when it was designated a SRVA in the early 80s.   

 
Took a ride out to Pismo the other day, haven't been out there since ‘08.    Went as a kid several times in the early 80’s, ATC and Odyssey fun along with parents friends Bronco club.  Always had a blast!   Man have they cut down the camping area I mean come on!  Along with 2 acre campsites its kinda ridiculous.  Hope it stays open though really nice to drive on a beach in Cali.
