We went to the Peterson automotive museum today.  Without a doubt my favorite part was "the vault".  I was apprehensive about spending the extra money on it, but it was great.  130 cars stuffed into the basement.  Super cool.

All of the cars there qhere the black Lincoln are, are owned by the singer from Metallica.

This is from the vault.

Some one of one cars down there.  Probably my favorite was an all aluminum catering built for some cat in thw aluminum business.   He built 3 cars.  A 2 door hardtop convertible,  a 4 door and a station wagon.  You could bot throw a rock with out hitting a McClaren or Ferrari.   The batmobile is a replica owned by Jeff Dunham.

There is a Cafe owned by the dude rhat bought the rights to the Myers manx.  We ate there.  Kind of fun.

The big black Mercedes was owned by spam hussein.  Cool story about how rhat got out of the middle east.

The first floor was mostly a tesla exhibit.  Kinda cool to look into the cars.  The6 had all kinds of cool stuff in there.  The new roadster is bitchen.  I asked my wife to stand in front of the cyber truck to get a feel for the size of the thing and she would not turn around so I took a picture of her ass.  LOL she is 5'4".

The porchas are in the lobby of the museum.

We went back down to the vault before leaving.  The black and silver car is the aluminum car that is 1 or 1.  The car is a Simitar.  Designed by brooks Steven's.  He also designed the car to thw right of the similar in the first postnof pictures.

They were built on a 59 Chrysler new yorker chassis.

The red Ferrari was designed by Ghia, which is why it does botnlook at all like a Ferrari.   BIG car too.

Thw one thing I found disappointing was this was the only mention of Peterson.  I don't know if you can see it in the picture but there is one small paragraph about his work in the publishing industry and that was it....  nothing about his love of cars, nothing about his family or collection... and I asked a number of the folks there and they looked at me like I was asking the most ridiculous question...

Very cool.   Thanks for posting.
I’ve got to get there some day.

My second favorite car was that bat ray looking blue thing.  It's an alfa Romeo.

The blue pickup truck is a Subaru.  I thought of @John@Outfront, and wondered if he could do anything about making a bit more than 30 HP.  LOL

i could at least double the HP  great pics and super cool

I've been saying "someday" since I was a kid and read every magazine out there.  We are up here for a wedding and decided to come up for a little time away from life.

Not sure what to do today.  Nethercut museum, griffith observatory and hiking in Angeles are on the list.

the holocaust exhibit at the Reagan library, only there for a limited time. ive heard its something worth checking out if your into history.

Great stuff! It is a must do for sure!

in 2018 We bid a project called the Classic Futures Display. It was a 6 month display of Movie cars where the Porsche Exhibit is, I got to design the whole space and we got a full tour of the place!

Unfortunately we didn't get the job, but it was fun to work on!

I was there over a year ago and did the vault tour.   Lots of cool cars down there.

That Ferrari 410 Superamerica with the Ghia body was designed by Giovanni Savonuzz who also designed he Chrysler Ghia Super Dart.  Lots of resemblance

I’d second the Reagan library.
Awesome place and one of my favorite presidents.

We did the Reagan library when we came back from visiting one of the colleges for my oldest son.  They boys kind of enjoyed it, the wife and I did a lot.  The thing they liked the best Was the oval office replica.   I thought it was strange.  But it was kinda cool too.

Today we did griffith observatory and hiked up to the Hollywood sign.  Nice hike to kill some time before the observatory opened up.  Spent another 3 hours in the car and we are not back yet.  LOL

Got some highway stars in there too.
