I enjoyed that whole thread from beginning to end. After the crash I remember thinking it was such a bummer to loose that thread, among all the other greats.

It’s all there if you want to go back. Have a couple of friends who’ve moved off to green pastures to do similar after I sent them this blog. 

And damn, Joel got ripped.

No doubt the change in lifestyle probably saved his life. I remember all the post/progress. I wish they'd covered more about the bees. He did mention the pond, but if remember correctly, the bees are super important part. But in this space, I'll admit I don't know diddly.

I forgot he was totally off-grid. Fascinating that that 'small' of an array does the whole deal. I didn't think solar was there yet. Thought you'd need 5X that. Totally awesome story/lifestyle. Very inspirational!

I remember Joel's thread big time, he really changed his entire life.

 
Best part of the entire video was when he started talking about the bad descions and binge drinking life that went with the river and the picture has @Yarder smiling in the background

i can't believe its been 10 years, seems like it was just a couple years ago he was selling out and starting to move. wow time flies

 
Joel and Amy are INCREDIBLE people !!!!! What an inspiration and a change in paths...... Talk about living the dream thru hard work and doing what you really want to do!

MAD PROPS to them!!!!!  Just AWESOME!
