Has anyone camped up there, how is it? Ive been up there just never camped always figured it was full when we are looking for a spot, any info would be great

 
Lots of visitors. Can be really windy as you are at a high point.

 
Have done it a few times way back when It was our normal weekend after Thanksgiving spot. The dunes were empty back then and it always blew on Saturday night after Thanksgiving back then. It was nice we would ride from camp and instead of stopping for a break in the dunes we would end up back in camp.

These days if I did everything would be under lock and key for sure, including putting the toys away at night.

One season we made about 12 trips up there (All on off weekends) Its some of the best camping. Drop right out of camp straight into the big stuff and awesome views. Its more popular now and a lot harder to get a good spot. A lot of people will box off a huge section of it with their campers so no one else will fit up there. Realistically 10 rigs could camp up there relatively comfortably.  We just go to wash 22 now, not a lot of dust and a pretty much straight shot to china wall and a lot of good dunes that arent heavily trafficked on big weekends.
