I went to service the generator in my 2000 WW, and had a hard time find the correct parts! After going through both ChatGPT and Google, I came up with the following info.

I found all the parts (WIX & Champion) on Amazon, cheaper, but they were all at least a week or two out. I was able to order em on O'Riley's for next day pick up, but for maybe ten bucks more total.

Air Filters

  • ONAN - P/N 140-2379
  • WIX - P/N 42362
  • NAPA - P/N 2362
  • FRAM - P/N CA8235

Oil & Filters

  • Oil will be 10-30, or straight 30w, full synthetic.
  • ONAN - P/N 122-0645
  • WIX - P/N 51348
  • NAPA - P/N 1348

Spark Plugs

  • Onan - P/N 167-0272
  • Champion - P/N RS17YX
  • Autolite - P/N 106

Fuel Filters

BGE – Spec ONAN P/N WIX P/N NAPA P/N FRAM P/N
A – E (these model generators never equipped with fuel filters)
F,G 149-2279 none none none
H 149-1353 33046 3046 G22A
J – P 149-2333 33933 3933 none

You will find the Onan Model BGE Generator Spec Identification Letter on the generator's name plate. An example is shown in the photo below. Note that the A-E versions of the generator did not have a fuel filter.

Hope this helps someone, someday!

Spark plugs are pretty straight forward. One is in the back where you can barely get to it, but it is doable. The coil is just to the right of the rear spark plug, so be careful you're not looking at those.

Fuel filter, no big.

Air filter, one bolt.

Engine oil? You either have to have something else to do while it Trickles out, or go buy a fluid exchanger. It takes forever for those three quarts to drain! 🤣

1/2 clear tube to keep from making a mess. Make sure you get the engine HOT first.

The correct oil filter WIX number is 51348.

The previous number (I deleted) did not have a way to use an oil filter socket/wrench on it! It's totally smooth in the outside.

The correct filter, is designed for a filter socket/wrench. You can see from the pics, it would be a bitch to change without one.
