My rail came with this filter on it. I'd like to replace it with one that's a bit longer.

Any ideas on how to figure out what filter that would be?

LS1 motor

Current filter ACDelco PF46E

Thanks in advance

I believe the AC Delco PF61 is the long version of the PF46.  The PF63 is the long version of the PF48.

The trucks are the longer filters,

They only make two threads, early and late years,   so the LS truck from 2000 would be one thread, and the truck from 2014 would be the other thread size, trucks are about a 1'' longer,

Going to a longer filter does not do much

After building a couple hundred LS motors,  the offroad or tuned up motor has loose clearances more fuel dilution more blowby adding contaminates in the oil,  clutch material in the oil and sand bypass from the front seal,

The best best guard for your motor is change the oil a lot,   I change mine EVERY trip, extended oil changes will cause excessive wear,

Filters do not catch fuel dilution that breaks down lubrication for the motor,

Oil is the cheapest guard to making a motor last,

The thread change was in 2007.
