A few weeks ago 9 of my buddies and 6 SXS did 1400 miles in baja (7 days). started at Tecate and went to the Bay of LA (furthest south, thats 9 hours by car) and back.  $500 in SXS fuel.  total combined repairs on cars was only 1 tire change, one belt slipping--CEL on, and one cracked rear arm that we bent/wenched back into position and welded it.

our leader Tim Bielski (he must be a distant cousin of mine) did the video and drone and we are awaiting our "Taco Tuesday" to see the whole movie.  this is the trailer.............

Thats so cool, would love to so some day.

This was a cracked rear arm. Went to the only shop with a MIG welder in the whole town. He let us rent his shop for an hour and we made this repair. Lasted the whole trip back to the boarder. This happened 9 hours south of the boarder. If it couldn’t get fixed it would have been a very expensive tow back home

Cool trailer.  When does the full length movie come out?

FOG

at my friends house for taco Tuesday  i think in about 2 weeks

pot luck, and movie night.  only one lady went, so most of our wives will be seeing what we did for a week in Mexico.

we are all in our 60's so we cherish each trip and are planning them very aggressively

we are doing route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica in September

That's a dream of mine, I *have* to do that some day.

Hmmm...

Fine line between brave and foolish.  LOL
funny, honestly i couldn't ask for a better group to go with--we all know how the others think, whos the fastest, who takes chances, whos the best at sweep, etc

I dont drink, or swear, and none of us would  do anything that we wouldnt do if our wives "were" there.

all my friends are like minded.  very little swearing and not much drinking either--getting high on life

For obvious reasons the trip is a closed group, no invites as we are ultra prepared and self reliant

we even had axles, sawzall, torches, huge pry bars, lights, cable winch etc.

Love making it a closed group, we are starting to do this more, even for Glamis.  People need to be prepared and self-reliant like the old days.  Who has time to babysit?

The first thing I look at when we're staging for a ride..............what are you riding? Then comes the difficult question...........Do you know how to ride? Nothing personal. Peace

looks like a great trip. I hope you post a link to the entire video.
