Trying to figure out when the wave of traffic will be? Will the crowd thin after NY day or continue on through the 7th? What's your plan?

 
Just left yesterday.

All pads and Roadrunner were already full of Ghost campers.

Buggy flats wasn't very full, no clue on washes.

We are heading back on the 3rd.  Hoping most have cleared out.

Not looking forward to tore up sand after the rain.   :classic_sad:

 
My kids are out of school for Xmas to new year's. I think next year we will not be going for the holidays. I just don't enjoy it as much anymore. Getting old I guess.

 
Our group avoids holiday weekends!

It's like going to a bar on St. Patricks Day...PASS!!!

Like @URCLEVER said maybe getting old, but just don't want to deal with the Holiday/Weekend warriors

Kind of why I'm asking. We also wish to avoid crowds and hope everyone clears out soon after holiday.

 
We're going out the Thursday before New Years.  Coming back that Saturday most likely.  Wife and kids idea.  Plan is to crash a GD Wash camp.

 
We're discussing departure dates too. Don't want to pull in for the first time with the new rig and have to maneuver around a bunch of camps. Hope to get out there day or two before Christmas, leave a few days after New Years. I've always enjoyed watching people leave. My Words are "GO ON....GET!" Peace

 
I plan to drive out in my little car and visit with peeps in wash 22 for part of the day Saturday before New Years

I am getting there on the 25th, head home on the 31st.  Hate being out there on New Years, I need my beauty sleep. Every day heading up to the 31st gets more crowded.

Wil be back out there on the 10th for MLK

 
Christmas through New Years is the plan.   Crowds normally start rolling in for New Years weekend. 

The fireworks have been spectacular the last 3 years.
