Loaned my truck to a friend. He said he barreled into a driveway a little fast and the glass popped.

Would like recommendations for a mobile replacement company.

Thanks

I don’t know where you are located but prime glass in Ontario has always done a great job for us

Safelite was like $550 for mobile. Dude who borrowed my truck had his truck broken into last night. Stole all his batteries (for work). .. and he has a ton of them.

Friggin theives

Safelite did good for us on 2 of the newer cars at home. It keeps you from having to go anywhere, and this is only a rear window.

I used to go to the Car Glass guys in DTLA in the past, but that was on cheap cars that were just beaters.

Driving up a driveway did that damage? Yore truck must have frame issues bruh, that would not happen in normal conditions.

you can claim it on insurance, just depends on what your deductible for comprehensive is...those are non chargable losses.

How fast was he going?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've used Safelite before too

Like...UM...what the EFF???

The B-Pillar totally dented, wtf was that guy doing???

Forget the glass...that thing might be totaled?

My 2000 GMC Z71 was rear ended and put 2 notches in the B-Pillars from the bed hitting....totalled!

Also frame was bent too.

If that was my friend...ex friend......

:explode:

I'm sure we don't know the whole story, so my apologies if I am jumping to conclusions...

I thought I lost my dog about 6 months ago and went to look for him (lots of rain back then).. and I got stuck in a ditch behind my house and then we yanked it out (not my finest hour).

Vehicle was totalled and I bought it back from insurance. I wasn't driving when the window popped so not sure how hard my buddy was rallying the truck.

Hopefully it stays together.

Don't be too worried, the frames flex on those... it happens all the time....

I would use anybody BUT Safelite.  They replaced the rear glass on my TBSS two weeks after I had the whole thing painted.  I specifically told the tech this.  That if there was a single scratch on it when he was done, he did it.

Well, when he as finished the whole hatch and rear bumper were scratched to F!  The glass was crocked, and it was so crocked that the glass didn't even seal along half the bottom edge.  Had to have a completely different piece of glass put in, and the rear of the truck repainted.  Safelite was on the hook for that one.  I had the body shop take care of the second replacement.

Second no for Safelite.  In-laws had their windshield replaced, got an extra thick smearing of windshield weld on the dash, no extra charge.  Safelite made them jump through a shitload of hoops to get the dash replaced.
