Need a Diesel Mechanic for our 3500.

Our 2005 Doge 3500 is running poorly.  It is making some kind of ticking noise, which I think is a leak near the headers (maybe a cracked header).

I also get a strange noise at higher RPMs when towing, maybe the turbo or some belt that I can't figure out. (some kinda strange squeel).  The serpentine belt was alreardy replaced and that was not the issue.  I can't really reproduce it without the trailer behind it.

I don't think I'm really up for fixing these problems myself so I guess I need diesel mechanic recommendations in the San Diego County Area.

on my 99, I HAVE to use the OEM cummins belt tensioner, the "gates", "NAPA" ones make the belt slip & ultimately jump off of one of the pulleys.

I have used NTG Racing in Santee & they are some smart dudes. NTG Racing 10969 Wheatlands Ave Santee, CA 92071

I used Diesel System Services (619) 733-1108 a few years ago   to resolve an ECM issue I had Steven was the only person I could find that actually could fix it.... 


I have also used J T Diesel Truck Services and would not let any of my friends go there.....

I have also used MDS Diesel and would not recommend them either. 


 
You can tape a shop vac, leaf blower, etc to your exhaust and put it on blow.  Take soap and water in a spray bottle and spray everything down.  If you have a leak you will find it.  Just do it when its cold obviously.

I highly do NOT recommend MDS. Having to deal with diesel motors with work all the time I’ve had dealings with them and I can tell you nightmare stories from them
