I though you had a 1914 VW??If I’m building a new car from scratch and I have a budget I’m going with the ls3 package and just leave it be. That being said I have a healthy 427 and really like it. But in the dunes I’m sure I’d be plenty happy with a ls3.
The Ls2 started out as one of Redline's 550 packages, so going w/ the Ls3 would basically be the same power-wise.If I’m building a new car from scratch and I have a budget I’m going with the ls3 package and just leave it be. Out of curiosity.....if you already have a healthy 427, what would be your reasoning for not using it?If I’m building a new car from scratch and I have a budget I’m going with the ls3 package and just leave it be. I’m using my 427. I was saying if I was starting over I would slap an ls3 with a cam in and call it a day.Out of curiosity.....if you already have a healthy 427, what would be your reasoning for not using it?
Building my existing motor is what i'm leaning towards. While not exact what you're looking for...
I have an Alper built 402 LS2 in my TBSS. My brother has the 525 in his '86 C10. Both absolutely rip. Tough to compare with the differences in truck weights, the C10 having the 6l80, and me trying not to yard sale the stock 4L70....
The 402 will be the cheaper route.
