Mothers Day.. what have you done for your Mom or you Bride

When I asked what I could do to make this weekend special she asked if I could help weed her garden and plant tomato plants.  It wasn’t tops in my list but I did. Great conversation though. Went to the Yard house for dinner. Saw Planet of the Apes. ( that was my idea)  

happiness is making her breakfast in bed with more than 50% of ingredients coming from your property. The eggs, oranges, asparagus, spinach was from home

I dropped off a card and some candy to my mom yesterday

My mom lives with my brother and his wife in Upland.

I drove up there and picked her up and took her back to our house.

My wife and I and Mom spent the whole day in our patio, some wine, some tunes, watching the hummingbirds buzz around us and chatted up the day with her.

I BBQ'd some salmon and veggies, Cheryl tried a new recipe for Potato's that was a total hit, a little more wine, and just soaked it all in!

Was a great day.

Thats what I'm talking about!   all my parents and parent in laws have passed so i dont get that chance anymore

@John@Outfront I think they were lemon herb roasted potatoes using yukon gold potatoes.  I'll check. Cheryl baked them in the oven. They came out awesome.

For Mom, she lives pretty far away (6 hours), sent some flowers and chocolates and then talked with her on the phone on Sunday morning.

My wife wanted to go see her Mom in SD, so I played driver.  We picked up lunch on the way and had a nice afternoon. (I had intentions to watch Padres/Dodger game, but I guess TV Contract and baseball in SD is a struggle?)  Then came home and made some pasta and salad and sat on the deck and watched the Sunset with 2 or 3 of our kids.  Good day, everyone pleased.
