Wife and I have had our cell numbers with AT&T for 20+ years. Considering switching to Mint Mobile to stop wasting what could be a lot of money every month. It uses the T-mobile network and my previous experiences with T-mobile were not great but that was like 15 years ago so curious what it’s like today. And if anyone else is using Mint Mobile.

I've been using mint for a couple of years. Family of 5, it does save some money for sure. Not the coverage of verizon but I was t mobile before the change so I knew what to expect. Coverage has improved greatly over the years.  Glamis is pretty good coverage. Gecko road is decent, pad 4 weak signal, washes good signal. I buy the yearly contract. You should be able to get a week free trial sim card to try the service.

Paying $550 a month to Verizon makes me want to shop around.

AT&T gets a shoot load of money from me. Frontier gets me TV Internet money. It's too much. BUT......stuff works good. Peace

Over 55 at T mobile and its $70 for 2 phones.

And if you get the Star Link from Elon you will have no issues at Glamis.

Verizon has a new phone partner Visible is $30 per month all in.
Are you still thinking a 5G cell phone is the best route for glamis? Instead of something like a verizon wifi hotspot?

the Routers I have WILL PERFORM way better than just a Verizon wifi hotspot.  I am going to use the sim out of the Visible in my router.  I know they kick butt with ATT and they work much better for Tmobile.  Verizon is my last test to see what it the best.  I should be out there most of the month in Nov so I can test when super busy out there. Otherwise Winegard Now has a mobile Starlink antenna.  From what I have heard it uses Startlink Pro or upgraded antenna for better bandwidth and approved to use in motion.

What router do you recommend?

I sell the Mofi 5500.  They are $540 so not cheap but they combine up to 5 bands.  I get much higher speeds than my 5g phone almost everywhere.

Was in Glamis wash 10 for Camp RZR and I can make and receive calls on my TMobile but that’s it. Internet super slow and sending texts or receiving them was slow also.

What is this Mofi 5500?

Voice and Data work on separate networks, Voice is continuous so calls drop when coverage sucks. Data simply slows down and lags as packets are resent because of high traffic, etc.

Its a pretty good 5G Cellular Integrated Router
