Lug nut torque

I have 9/16 (pretty sure they are fine thread) studs and aluminum wheels. There are flat washers with a concave side to mate to the cone end of the lug nuts under the lug nuts. The lug nut torque chart I found says 135 foot pounds for 9/16. Does this stay the same or get reduced for aluminum wheels?

 
I have no techically based answer.

But, my hunch is that the thickness of the wheel is based on the amount of strength that an engineer says is necessary....the strength of the wheel is the same.  They increase the thickness of the aluminum to give it the same strength and that the torque is based on the stud/nut combo.

That said aluminum is softer.

BUT, the very last thing that you want is the wheel moving under stress.  Once that starts....it gets worse, then worse, then you have ruint wheel (a red.neck term).

Thanks for the info. I may not have an engine block tied to a tree for a tree swing but I understand redneck.

 
I always did 100 ft/lbs when using a washer with out any issues. Found that higher torques would sometimes split the washer. 
Thanks for the torque number. I didn’t consider splitting washers with higher torque values, thanks for mentioning that.

 
Chances are they are 14x1.5 thread... 

It is the most common on Buggies, and the spec for that thread is 85-90 ft lb.
That is to light, at least do 110lbs, 

9/16 should be around 135lbs,  stick to the torque for the Fastner or they can stretch and come loose,
