LS3 cam shaft sensor?

Ok, I got a problem with my motor.  Every once in a while it rev limits out at 4000 RPM. I pull the cam sensor out reinstall and it goes away. Rev limit is set to 6500RPM, all good.

I have replaced with new, does the same thing intermittently. Chased down the wires back to the computer and found nothing wrong. Is it possible the cam itself has moved and the sensor is not making a proper connection to it? Could it be in the programing? Anybody else ever have a similar issue?

Running a Mefi 4b.   We have obd diagnostics mefi scan but don't see anything standing out.

If I was going to shotgun this I would swap the crank sensor as well.
