Could I route to one of these ports on the Waterpump?

Ah, it autocorrected Steam Vents... I was wondering about routing the steam vent to the blocked off heater pipes.

On my LS, the cooling system would not purge out, with the steam Ports plugged up. When I cleaned them all out, it worked like a champ.

i taped the water neck fill for 1/8 pipe and ran them to there there was a kit jegs or summit had i blocked off one on each side and tee the other two together and ran them up. i dont know if this was the correct way but i figured if you had air coming for the line you would want it to be as close to the cap so it could escape

The front side of the pump is the inlet, the back side goes to the outlet, they need to go to the outlet, like LRS says on some cars they blead the air out really good no need for steam ports, and some cars always have air pockets,
Not sure what is the best rout for you but attached is where we put our hole, or where your sensor is,

GM spent profit on those steam ports. Best to retain them as they make the coolant system pretty brainless.

Best spot to run them to is back to the top of the radiator or coolant return. There are a number of steam port water necks out there to put one in the return line, or add a 1/8” NPT bung to hard lines or the radiator, or to the outlet of the pump as @J Alper says. Pump return isn’t uphill though, so won’t bleed naturally when sitting.

If they’re plugged, not a huge deal, but I’d crack them every now and again to make sure there isn’t trapped air. Friend of mine kept overheating until the air was bled out of here. Lots of coolant went in after it was bled.

Look at the Motion Raceworks steam vent kit. I just put it on mine and routed it to the top corner of the radiator.
