This guy is great, uses a "good enough" practical approach to things. Guys like this started this sport, happy to see when a few folks are still out there doing it their own way.

An intro..

Enjoy. He has plenty of great content.

This guy reminds me of a younger version of my wife’s grandpa.. the guy can literally build anything with minimal tools and nothing but skill and raw determination.

He’s got a hot rod he built in his garage that’s actually decent, and has a ton of low buck hi intelligence fixes and upgrades.

He’s 93 now so his body work isn’t what it once was.. but I’ll tell you he’s 93, and if I put you in his garage with his tools.. there’s no way 98% of us are pulling it off.. it’s wild to see his crazy solutions and fixes to do everything from pull engines to paint upholstery and even fab..

He changed his grandsons go kart from drum to a single disc brake.. he made the rotor with a drill press.. (no shit).

He drilled a hole in the table of the drill press and drilled a hole in a piece of flat steel. Shoved a pin in the table and got a set of vice grips and slowly but surely around and around..

I am telling you when I saw the rotor I figured he bought it because it looked legit. Lol

I was shocked when he showed me how he made it.

Our population is generationally dumber. The more your "things" do for you, the less YOU do for yourself.

When I was <8 and my bike had a flat tire, I would fix it. I knew where dad's wrenches were to take the wheel off. I knew where the patch kit was, and how to apply it. Shit fixed..

I lived in a small town. Your bike was your freedom.

Today...
I question if my 12yo nephew tied his shoes correctly on on the appropriate foot.

I worked in car dealerships for longer than I can remember.

When I Finally couldn't take the politics anymore, I went to work at JMS Racing.

At first, I had to ask Mike...

How the fuck are we gonna do THIS!?!?

He'd show me some super simple solution, and I'd be like, now Why didn't I think of that??

One day he says to me...

Ya know, you forgot everything you knew, working at car dealerships!!!

In some ways, he was actually right.
