Found this pooch wandering around at Superstition Sunday after the Lost Lizard Fun Run.

Wife got her on a leash, and the daughter and I (who was using a clutch on a quad for the first time, only 2 stalls!) went around to all the camps trying to find the owners.

After about an hour with no owner found, we gave up and figured social media or word of mouth would get it solved. Luckily, the family had started looking for their pooch and neighboring camps sent them our way.

So many of these stories end sadly. Glad this one worked out.

We walked out early one morning in W11 to take the dogs for the morning walk and our dogs went straight to this one trailer and were in full on attack mode. Turns out somebody's dog got loose and was hiding under the trailer. Ex Wife and DONE leashed the dog up and walked and drove around to the camps in the area. Nobody knew nothing, I was more worried I was going to have yet another dog because those two were not going to let it go for sure. just about noon we hear this person calling for a dog from one of the neighboring camps, that they had already contacted who said no dogs in camp. Well sure enough it was their dog and it took until lunch for somebody to finally realize the pooch had escaped the night before.

Good job. 👏👏👏

That's an Old Dog, good on you and the fam getting the pooch back home.

Yessir. Super nice and calm, surprising for a Chihuahua. Yore people's dogs are usually assholes :ROFLMAO:
Too scrawny or the wrong time of the lunar month? 🥣🥡🥢

He must have felt safe seeing the white folks in camp. 👱‍♀️

Last New Years....I think, we were at Buttercup loading up and we turn around and there is a dog. We are loading up to leave. I call the BLM, no, we ain't taking no dog (their exact words, sorta). We call animal control....Oh, it happened in the BLM, we ain't taking no dog (again, their exact words, sorta). The last thing that I want to happen is to have the dog go to Long Beach w/my BIL or to Colorado w/me when they are gonna come back to this spot... theoretically.

So, we start calling around and post it on FB....

I go to Yuma for a dinner appointment w/the family. Another do-gooder got a call and the owner met us at the restaurant.

The owner showed back up at the dunes like 1.5 hour later. It seems that they stopped to walk around and look at the dunes and when they got in the car, the dog didn't. They got half way to Phoenix and said where is the dog...

A PITA
