Anybody have any connections for new Hondas? I’m looking for a new CRV hybrid. Most dealerships in CA either have dealer markup or they have dealer “ad ons” that are overpriced. Their MSRP is 37ish but OTD prices are $45k or more. Or at least a Honda dealership I can just build and order. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you considered a subaru forester for about 10k less? Subaru's aren't just for short haired gals with nose rings.

I like to call those LL’s (lesbian limos). I really am looking for something that gets good mileage and will last forever. I’m sure Subaru has improved in reliability, but it’s hard to top Honda and Toyota. I’ll take a look though…. Thanks

Another vehicle I’m considering is an Acura RDX

GMC terrains are eco tech diesel and get 34 mpg. I just picked one up for daily commute to corona from Yucaipa for 24k used obviously.

My wife has a '21 RDX Aspec and it's been a great car. Fit and finish are good and very comfortable ride. On a trip to the black hills in SD we had a tire fail in Montana. Since it was under warranty, Acura care paid us about $3k reimbursement for a rental car, gas, food, and hotels to continue our trip. They had the car towed back to Spokane (there are no Acura dealers in Montana) and we just swung by and picked it up on our way home. Very good service.

I test drove one today and LOVED it. New is a little steep for what I’m looking for but there are a ton of lease returns that are in the mid 30’s. I like the fuel economy of the new CRV a lot more though

I bought my daughter a 23 CRV Hybrid Sport 4 months ago for $38k.  Started off with the Costco program but worked a better price from the dealership.  DCH Honda Mission Valley, San Diego.

Funny you mention DCH…. I just found them yesterday and started talking to them. Looks like I might be getting about the same deal….. now if we can just decide between a used RDX and new CRV

on a side note, was that the Sport or the Sport-L?

I don’t remember a sport L model. I think sport is just a little fancier interior and rails on the roof for racks.
Bought the car end of may, my daughter loves it and is getting 40+ mpg.

There is a sport-L that is one step below the Touring. Has almost every option including leather interior with orange stitching. Looks awesome. The MSRP is around $38 for that model. But most dealerships in socal add stupid stuff and overcharge for them. Like “paint protection” for $1295

Looks like we may have found a winner…. I was offered MSRP on a 2024 Sport-L. Salesman sent me the quote and said no mark up, but will probably try to pull the dealer added accessory package. I told him no deal if that’s the case so hopefully when the vehicle shows up next week they don’t pull a fast one.
