Looking For a Home to Rent in LA / Glendale Area

My son and two of his friends are looking for a place in LA / Glendale to rent. They are all in the movie & Film business (great kids starting out) and need a place to live. 

Figured I would reach out to the GD community to see if there is anything out there peeps know about

Any help is much appreciated

I'm in La Crescenta, just north of Glendale and the 2 bd, 1 bath house next door rented for $3650/month. The 4 br 4 bath around the corner is asking $5750/month. Good schools up here and people will pay it.

Yeah, its brutal out there for housing in LA. they are looking at stuff now  and it is expensive.

 
Was just in Glendora at the Donutman for some fresh strawberry donuts. It's really nice up there. Only a few houses under $700K with most around the million mark. There is a pretty sweet pad for rent, $15K a month. 

 
Burbank is great if they are working for the studios.   In the San Fernando Valley - Woodland Hills and West Hills areas.   

If they are freelancing then I would head out toward Simi Valley where the rent is more reasonable.  A lot of film industry people live out in Simi Valley.  Still not far from Hollywood and the action. 

They will be paying rent anywhere from $4,000 and up a month for house.

holy cow no wonder people are moving to okla from cali lol. that kind of coin you would have a hell of a pad, but then its okla lol.

The house I sold (in Sylmar hills) prior to moving to Knoxville is 1,575/7800.  3/2 + bonus, no pool, large covered patio and large driveway.

I sold it for $720k.  It's being rented for $4,200/month...and the renters have full responsibility for maintenance and all utilities.  Heh, in retrospect, I should've leased it.

The hillbillies are renting beat-up 16-19ft trailers with dilapidated porches for $1,000-$1,200 to college students here in Knoxville.  There is is an extreme shortage of supply.

My neighbors (physicians) told me I could easily get $2,000 for the guest apartment from med students.  Heh, that's my mortgage.
