Yes, I’ll end up with 6-100AH batteries and my charger is trans gender.Go with the most AH you can fit in your battery compartment. Also make sure your charger is lithium compatible.
I agree with stuffing the highest AH battery you can get in there. I'm running a 460ah Epoch and it has been amazing. A standard converter/charger will charge the lithium [iron phosphate] but it's voltage cut off will only get the battery to about 80% capacity. A better charge controller will also provide a much better charge rate (most lithiums can take a 1c charge these days). Charging at 100a vs 10-15a (typical converter) takes 1/10th the time. A quality battery will have an internal BMS; I wouldn't bother running one that didn't.Go with the most AH you can fit in your battery compartment. Also make sure your charger is lithium compatible.
For sure, Amazon seems to have a few choicesNo matter which way you go, get a shunt so you can monitor everything.
Bluetooth so you can watch on your phone.
Go with a Victron smart shunt if you're going to install one. Epoch's batteries (I'm sure plenty others as well) have internal bluetooth connection so you dont even need a shunt. For sure, Amazon seems to have a few choices
The Epoch batteries are getting great reviews. They are supposed to be even better than the Battleborn and substantially cheaper. I'm getting ready to upgrade my moho. I have 3(ea) 105AH AGMs now. I'm replacing them with 3(ea) Epoch Essentials 300AH batteries. They are close to the same size. The 3 Epochs will just be a few inches more and I have the room. So I'll be going from 315AH total to 900AH total. The batteries are $1k each but worth it given the added power and longevity. Epoch has discounts pretty often of 15% off or more.I agree with stuffing the highest AH battery you can get in there. I'm running a 460ah Epoch and it has been amazing. These appear to be well made internally and if they have a higher capacity unit, they'd be about impossible to beat. 2 of those will give you more usable capacity than your pair of 6v but if you can stuff 4 of them in there, even better.
Edit: size is the only difference.
To answer your question, the answer is no. 100AH is 100AH. They have started to make them in different case sizes so they are plug and play in applications where form factor is important. Alot of group 31 and 24 form factors out there and when used in these configs your battery cables will hook right up and so will the battery hold downs vs having to make new.If a battery has the same AH and BMS amp rating but different case sizes is there a performance difference?
I’m done with the 6v AGM off gassing and corrosion issues. Time to upgrade

The app is pretty nice as well. It will show you each cell for each battery in the array. The Epoch batteries are getting great reviews. The house is about 25 years old and some of the wiring has been pretty suspect. The app is pretty nice as well. It will show you each cell for each battery in the array.
Not sure why you're tripping breakers @ChasingSand; at 12v you should have up 120a coming off a standard 15a, 120v breaker (15a at 80%). You must have a number of other things on that same breaker.
I have the Yeti version. 3000Wh. By the time you buy 2 name brand 100ah, you’re not that far off from it. Less if you get an open box:Just bought this for my trailer to run my Iceco Fridge cooler:
This thing is heavy, has the good Lithium LiFeP04 batteries.

Stay powered up wherever you go with BLUETTI AC180 Portable Power Station. With 1152Wh capacity perfect for camping, outdoors, and emergencies.www.bluettipower.com
Yeah, I bought 2 100w panels on sale. In the winter in Glamis, it can keep up with powering the motorhome for 2-3 days without needing the generator and some panel realignments after rides.@Rockwood i don't need that much. I have an ICECO Fridge/cooler, coffee maker and and microwave.
I really got the Bluetti for the cooler as I usually run my micro and coffee maker off my generator.
I tested it out this weekend and can get probably a weekend trip running my Iceco without having to charge.
I have a Thunderbolt 100w solar panel, but I need at least 200w to charge this thing. I could charge it with my generator in probably an hour and get 80% if needed.
Very impressed with this thing.
