I just used something we had in the cupboard for leather and completely hosed up my steering wheel cover.... 👎👎👎👎

Anyone have suggestions for a leather conditioner for cars before I hose up the leather in my wife's car??? That won't be pretty...  LOL

Depends on the leather. My ram said not to use anything but a damp cloth because it was sealed.

Also, if you have stains or ground in soiling, use Woolite (diluted) and a soft terry cloth. Works pretty good and is gentle on the seats.

Connolly hide food if it's real leather. Normal car leather is coated so grab a product called leather perfect. I prefer leather perfect but both are excellent products.

More vinyl than leather in most cars with “leather” interiors. Usually just the steering wheel cover and center of the seats are leather on commoners cars. I really like Chemical Guys products.  :classic_biggrin: :peace:

I use 303 3 in 1 Leathercare. It's not pastey, so it doesn't make a mess on perforated seats. Never had an issue with it.

I did a bit more poking around @ this & most manufacturers suggest using a damp cloth for cleaning the leather.

My wheel is starting to get ragged @ the top where the sun beats on it, so I was hoping for something to condition & moisten it.  I found this stuff online & it has some very good reviews.  I figured I would give it a go.  it goes on much like motor oil.  I simply squirted it into my hand & rubbed it on & left it.  in 10 or so minutes it was soaked in.  I was concerned it would leave it greasy, & it does for a few minutes, but the next day I did not notice any greasiness to it.  if your trying to help something that is kind of beat up, this is the stuff.  if you already have nice leather & your trying to just clean it........ just a damp towel.  I have applied this about 6 or 7 times now & its much better than it was.  it will never be good, but hopefully it stops getting ragged.  I need to start parking with the wheel upside down, like I used to............

FWIW, I got it on amazon.
