Learned from three friends today that they have cancer…

my grandad had throat cancer. they asked him, whens the last time you smoked..................

he said ww2 while I was fighting the damn germans. when I came home I quit about 1945.

They said how long ago was that.

he said about 50 years ago or so. dr. said well I doubt thats what caused it!!

but what he had was normally seen in smokers.

good luck to your friends, its sure a tough battle.

I'm having a difficult time processing the news but looking at my son and hoping his generation is able to come up with a solution.

If they do come up with a solution it will more then likely be a MR/DNA vaccine,  You going to get that jab or suggest he gets one ?

Probably.  Never been jabbed. Passed on a big-time opportunity last year because they required I be jabbed.  None of us are jabbed (immediate family).

A good freind of mine had cancer he made it through, but that all everyone wated to talk to him about was his cancer,  i would call and just talk about normal stuff to make him feel a tad normal
Talking about normal stuff with people is awesome!  You are a great friend doing that.  If all anyone wants to talk about is your cancer it can drive you nuts.  That being said, if anyone ever has questions I try to answer what I can.  I have chosen to be blissfully ignorant about my cancer.  Other than staying hydrated and trying to get plenty of sleep there is nothing I can take or do outside of the chemo and radiation.  My team of doctors have been awesome and my scans get better each time.

Thanks for sharing.  It’s brave to do so.  I’m praying for you, bro!

OMG...hey there stranger!

So sorry to hear what you are going through as well as with @TheSPAINishLover and your friends!

Cancer is a mu'Fu'ka.

EFF cancer! is all I can say. Lost my dad in '17 from what started as prostate cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam that mad it's way into his spine. Later that year my mom was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. She's been battling it since with radiation and multiple surgeries. Chemo is not an option for her as each time they've tried, it's put her in the hospital with near death side affects. It's now into her chest and there isn't anything they can do so she's just doing her best to enjoy life as she can in her 70s.

If there was one super power I could have it would be to make all cancers disappear. I've lost too many loved ones to some form of it over the years.

Hey Mr.  Not much photochopping fun around here like we used to have.  LOL

I plan to make it through this.  I still have lots of people to annoy in the off road lighting world.  HaHaHa

I would love for you to have that super power.  It's crazy how many people I have met that are effected by cancel.  It sucks to have it, but I don't feel bad for me.  I have had a pretty Effing awesome life. I feel bad for my friends and family that have to watch what happens.

It has been a learning experience for sure.  Everyone's journey is different.  It's nothing like you see on the movies.  My side effects to chemo haven't been too bad other than I am tired and sick to my stomach a lot.  I've lost almost 70lbs but still have all my hair.  I still drive a mouse for a living.  It has been a great distraction to be able to work.
