I am looking for opinions. I am going to put a sound system in my KRX4. But I want it to be good. I don't listen to reverb bass much, But I love the THUMP from the kick drum in my back on songs like Billy Jean etc.  in my back from a good sub, as well as clear mids and highs.

I hear a lot of systems that are loud and obnoxious too many highs, too fuzzy etc.. I don't want that. I am being told that the NOAM NUTV5-S Quad is the best bang for the buck. Has anyone tried this? Or if you have a system that you'd recommend? Thanks in advance.

You might check out Rockford Fosgate. I had one of their systems in my 4 seat S. I think it sounded great on low and high volume. RF builds their systems specific for each model with wiring pre-measured and plug and play. Very clean install. Sub was under the dash and replaced the glove box on mine, sounded good.

Edit to add that I just looked and it doesn't look like RF makes a kit for Kawi's. They only list kits for can-am and polaris.

I would check out UTV Stereo. They do some trick custom work.

Very interested in what system you choose and how you like your KRX4 as well....

when i was looking for something for the rzr i was looking at noam just because of price. others had good things to say about it but what i didnot like is how everything was mounted on the cage. i ended up with the MTX thunder system. one big mistake i made on that was instead of buying the kit that MTX makes i bought the everything separate, it was cheaper. but MTX kit is listed as plug and play, but you only get the plug and play connectors when you buy the kit as a whole. i dont know installation at all and wanted the plug and play so i could do it my self. MTX does not sale the plug and play connectors. lucky i talked to a rep at the sand show and he was able to set something up for me to buy the plug and play. when i bought it a site was doing a flash sale of 10%, they had advertised it on the rzr fourm, then they had an additional 20% off your first purchase if you gave an email address for marketing. i didnt get the sub, just the four speakers and amp was plenty for me. dont need crazy sound just something.

Please just listen to music through your headsets, no one (NO ONE!) wants to hear other's music in the dunes. When we stop and hang out, the tranquility is bliss.
Yeah, that aint me one bit LoL. We do a lot of desert and mountain stuff where we are miles and mile away from human ears.

I have an appointment at a local UTV stereo installer near my house for early December. I'll let you know how that goes. As far as my KRX experience I currently have 3 rides on it ( no dunes yet though). Is there anything specific you had questions about?

Competing with the background noise of a UTV, plus the complete lack of enclosure to the cab, I'd not waste money on the stereo.  It's only going to sound good when parked.  At speed, it's never going to sound "right" with all the other competing soundwaves canceling half the spectrum completely at random.  In-helmet would be the way to go unless the entire reason for it is to sound good when parked for everyone to "enjoy".

Thanks, Yeah I have had many SXS's and very familiar with that issue. We have also had in ears as well for music and communication.

Oh yeah, and if you’re wearing helmets and intercom on top of all that… No point.
