Kind of cool.  Interesting trivia...  98% of the concrete got recycled on site and pur back into snapdragon...

My son jumped the fence and got a few pieces for my wife....

I drive by there everyday on my way home, came down real quick.
Plus I did many job walks for the new stadium so I was able to see how fast it went up also.

me too...  15s to 8e.  i tried to take a picture everyday but its a busy interchange and didnt want to end up on the side of the road... lol

My Mother-in-Law lives in Boulevard and we'd see the tear down everytime we'd drive out there.

Was cool. Seems like they did it pretty fast.

I miss the ease of everything in this stadium.  Yes the stadium was old and not updated much, but then again I go to watch sports, not drink all the Microbrews.

Was there for the final Padres game in 2003 (21 years ago?!? :ex: ) and got the commemorative Qualcomm stadium ticket holder.  Very convenient location with the trolley stop.

Fwiw snapdragon is super nice.  The vendor situation is strange to me.  But....  very cool there are lots of options  instead of just one...

I was involved in the negotiations to renovate the stadium in an effort to keep the Chargers in SD. Union bosses demanded their members get a monopoly on the work. Their “compromise” was to allow nonunion workers to compete for any part of the work valued at or less than $3 million.

The rest is history…

Had some awesome times at the "'Ol Murph" Peace

side note... eFF the chargers...

Me as well.  The one that sticks out the most was when Jeff Baum and I took his old school Suzuki Samari, not the cute mid 80's one. This was an old-school right-hand drive two stroke motor one that he completely rebuilt. Into a small early 80's crawler.  To go see the Who, even though we didn't have tickets. We drove thru the river bottom till we found a place where we could get into the parking lot. Parked really quick then walked over to the big ramp that you can drive down and sat at the top of that for about half the show.  I still remember in Won't Get Fooled Again the big explosion towards the end of the song after the prolonged keyboard part.  Most of the concussion part of that explosion came back towards that ramp.  It was about that time the cops showed up and ran us out of there.  So we started walking around the stadiums outer ring. That was when we noticed nobody was watching the gates anymore.  Boom we went in, for the last two encores.  Then back to the jeep back over the berm into the river bottom and home.

Same type of story here. Best time ever.......We showed up 8th inning of a Padres game. Parking lot just opened up. Gates opened up. We walk in and watch two innings of baseball. Well, we didn't watch baseball.......we partied with the Drunk ladies leaving the stadium. My buddy jumped inside a girls sweatpants. You should have seen them trying to walk down the corridor together. She was having so much fun. Crowd was tripping out! So was I. 2 innings of drunk fun. Have no clue who they were playing. Peace
