Smoking a turkey later.  Wife making jalapeno popper dip.  Buddies ditched me so I'm shopping for paddles for the 450 I hope to pick up Tuesday.

Gym, errands, chill, then a ride along with my buddy who is a sergeant for Fontana PD. Should be an interesting night for sure!

Getting a start on my C10 project.  Step one - degrease the F out of the engine bay.  Took a long time to even get to this point. Bought the truck in North Carolina and had it shipped - it's a diesel and was able to retain that status here in CA - making the LS swap possible without all the hassles of smog.

Starting the mad dash to get all my crap ready for Glamis. Hit the road in less than a month.  Been a year since any machines have been ridden. I'm sure issues are in my future.

Only bringing the kids machines, wife's and the sxs. Still healing from hand surgeries so the cr500 and atc are staying home. Bummed I won't be able to ride. Oh well.

My Son is riding his 250 MX in Ocitillo with the boys sleeping in my Suburban. Spoke to him yesterday and he's having fun. Cool to see the next generation starting out where we all did. ABC and wife are just chillin' at home. We go to Washington with our HS Senior to check out the college next weekend. I need to buy a new coat as it's pretty cold there.

@wesinls none of those pictures are working for me.

I've thought about doing the same thing for years, but never pulled the trigger.

Sometimes I can take a screen shot and paste and the site works, then a few hours later it turns to a link...Anyway, this one should work.  And me too, been thinking about this for 2 or so years and saw this come up on facebook for a good price.  Motor and trans come next week - super pumped, but a lot of work left.

Good looking truck.  It was probably 1995 when I was thinking about it.  I wanted to build a teuck and kalipornia was being all stupid about smog....  LOL

At the time I could not find a nice donor.  Most of the trucks. We're either beat to death or folks we're upside down on them and wanted too much money.

We are in Sacramento watching our 8 year old grandson play rugby and 10 year old granddaughter play lacrosse.  Church tomorrow then head home Monday to prep for Glamis next week.

well i got another great story for you folks.

So I was received a phone call last week, I have 2 signed leases in hand, we need the units cleaned out and broom swept. Well ok Im in.

Now I knew one was empty as I had been there recently. These are 2 units side by side that were 2 different weed shops. Quick clean up, tossed everything left behind in the trash, no biggie. They had a sliding door on a rail that my 82 year old dad just had to have. Ok pops we will pull it off. No damn idea what he's going to do with it, but he wanted it so he got it.

The other unit however we had to get the sheriff involved about a yr ago, they were way behind on rent, owed up probably 50-75k. The day of the judgement we didn't do anything, but 7 days later I show up with a locksmith to change the locks. Well "they" showed up also wanting their stuff. Well they didn't get it. It was officially ours 7 days prior but we didn't move on it so they had an additional week to clean it out. They lost alot of "stuff". Including 3 digital safes.

So when I get the call to "get it cleaned out" I started clearing it out. There was 6 glass showcases, 2 big couches, 3 counters, and LOADS of pipes, bongs, tons of stuff I don't even know what it is, 7-65" tv's, 4 smaller tv's, security system, 3 safes, and on and on and on.

so I posted an ad on marketplace, free couches, probably had 25 people wanting them, a buddy needed a glass showcase, another buddy to the rest, tore down the counters hauled about 3 pick up bed loads up to another of our shopping centers to use the dumpsters.

So that leaves 3 safes, all digital. Now 8 months ago I called the safe companies, provided the lease doc and sheriff's paperwork, paid 250.00 and got them all reset and opened them. only had a cash box with no cash and an ipad. So yesterday I start cutting off the anchors to "deinstall them" got one small one out, probably 3ft tall, by 2ft by 2ft, has 2 drawers and one drop drawer. kinda heavy. next one is a gun safe, fire rated, get it  "deinstalled", heavy as hell, used an appliance dolly and finally wrestled it out.  big daddy safe is 6ft tall, 3ft wide and 3 ft deep.

Rent an enterprise box truck today with a lift gate. my dad helps, my buddy shows up, put them all on skids and roll them to the truck, get them loaded, big daddy was a bear but we got it.

Told my friend to go on home, me and dad can handle unloading at my storage.

small one, off no issue, gun safe off, heavy but no issue.

Now big daddys turn. I used those arm lift straps to pick up one side, get 2 dollies under it, move it to the lift gate, no worries, push the down button, all's good, and as the lift starts to sit on the concrete floor in the unit, the damn thing rolls off, my dad tries to save it, I scream get away and it falls on its back, cracks the 4" floor lol.

So now we are sitting here looking at this huge azz safe, laying on its back and thinking how the hell are we going to get it back up. Got a guy with a bobcat coming this week to see if he can stand it back up.

I think these "what did you do on saturday threads are jinxing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But noone got hurt and that's all that matters. I don't know what that safe weighs but man that thing would surely crush you. glad pops was paying attention.

Tune in next saturday to see what happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worked on some in floor storage on the cargo trailer all day / coming out great - gonna be nice to have the extra buggy parts out of the way and frr up cabinet space!!! Been wanting to do this 4 ever
