It's Saturday April 13th 2024.. What is everyone up too this weekend?

Getting the toy hauler ready for a trip to Winchester Bay next weekend, time to un winterize it and get ready for summer rides. Clean up the aftermath from water heater failure and replacement this week got love getting up to water all over the floor at least it’s in the garage so no damage. Have a great and safe weekend GD. I'm up in the high desert for some  :guns: training.  I will be here through Monday.  I will post up some pictures. 

My wife comes back from a girl's only trip to kauai on Sunday.  I'm looking forward to her being home.

Finish loading for a trip over to San Diego/ Chula Vista area for a visit. Daughter and 2 of our grand kids will meet up on their spring break. Have a good weekend!

 
Weekend started with a bang yesterday morning.  Woodpecker got into power pole in front of the house.  Blew 2 fuses and power went out.  SDG&E got it fixed pretty quick.  Woodpecker didn't do so well.

Headed out to Campo later.  Farmers market is supposed to have birra tacos.

Just got back from a week of work travel yesterday. Turnaround trip to G to snatch the 5th wheel from storage today and then dropping it off tomorrow in OC for some detail work. Laundry and prepping for another work trip this week.

Busy day today.  Hope to get better pictures tomorrow.   The wind picked up to mid 20s this afternoon.   Its ripping right now.  Whistling through the windows at fhe hotel Things are going well.  Did some pretty interesting drills.  

Tomorrow some longer range stuff and windage training.  

Had dinner with most of the crew at a local messican joint.  Good food.  Time for a brew and some rest.

Well the rest thing didn't happen...  LOL. 

The rain was dripping on the window sil and the wind was whistling through the windows like an old dodge. Then at 230 a big group checked in and decided they needed to have a conference in the hallway.  Then at 430 the internal clock decided it was time to wake up.....  getting Olds a blotch.  LOL 

 
Worked yesterday.
Atc70 has been smoking like crazy so I pulled the motor and started stripping it down for an 88 BBK, high flow oil pump, and new clutch. Might lap the valves and do the valve seals while it’s apart too. 

 
Dropped and cleaned up 9 trees yesterday. At least 30 more to go. Worked on trimming dead limbs with the pole saw. Couple buddies  dropped by for beers last night. Shoulders are killing me today.

Kite festival today.  Weather was/is perfect.  Going to spend the rest of the afternoon tinkering in the garage. Prepping for White Wash sand dunes In utah for memorial. 20240414_132026.jpg

 
Completed the opening round of garage tetris with 100% success. Why is it after 7 months all the crap that was neatly in containers on shelves ends up on the garage floor and now doesn't fit on said shelves even though "nothing new" was purchased and the only way everything fits back on said shelves is only after filling both trash cans to the top? 

 Made a list of all the things that must get fixed by Oct 1 and another list of all the things I would like to do by Oct 1. We shall see how that goes over the next 5 months

 
Drove to LA yesterday to pick up my new 2024 Raptor. It was the best deal I could find anywhere but still over MSRP.

Dealt with tons of jackasses trying to buy my 13 Roush supercharged Raptor. All the lowballs, stupid trades, and scams. Beware of the new vehicle history scams where they try to get you to use some fake history report websites to scam you out of $50. 

Worked on the yard today with my 6yo son and took him to Mulligans as a reward for his help. 

 
Back in Virginia for the week...flew out yesterday, but was able to make some progress on my speakers install in the C10 Saturday.  Work in progress.
