It’s Saturday 5-21-22 What’s everyone doing this weekend?

We lost one of our pups last night.  So, today is full of soggy eyes and copious amounts of booze.
Been a bad last couple of weeks for Fur Babies, seems like everytime I look online somebody just lost another one.   THink I will log off the google machine and give mine some attention today. They are both getting up there in age.

Picked some last items from G&J so hopefully will be able to start the motor.

Got a new smoker yesterday. Gonna try my first pork butt tomorrow

Spent the first part of the morning trying to figure out why in the hell my phone decided that the emails I need the most to stay in business were suddenly spam.   Spent the last few hours trying to catch up with bids, revisions to bid, invoices and answering general Emails.

Plenty of honey dos.  Been to the hardware store twice so far.

Too much to do, not enough time.

I went to the Sand super swap thing.. Didnt buy anything but got to see friends and spend time with them so it was a good time. No home doing Laundry and dusting

Smoked a brisket overnight.   Buddy and family came over to party, drink and eat.  All the usual's flaked.

RC'd.

It started off with fixing my big excavator. Friend of mine bent the -16 metal line and hose into the joint where the dipper meets the boom. Metal pipe was $500 hose was $400. I bought the hose, I fixed the metal line (5000psi). Was line/hose to the thumb. Then  I was helping the wife in the garden and found a king snake. Then trimmed a tree at a rental home that was touching the neighbors house. Then went to Placentia and pulled out a Chinese pistach tree and bird of paradise at my daughters house. Then a wedding reception. Busy day

Making a 9 foot concrete slab for a shot put and discus circle. Got any tips for something that doesnt need to hold a car?

Emulate the pit they will most likely throw on.  Some are clay, crushed granite, asphalt, or concrete...

If they are just throwing the shot put, a line and a hard toe bar will work for practice.

Worked on my brother’s golf cart. Intermittently not starting. No luck, got to dig deeper.

Played some golf Sunday. Walked the course for my first time. Nothing like a Sunday stroll. Peace

Cleaned out closets, going to remove the single pole deal and add cabinets, shoe racks and multi level hanger bars, etc.

We basically have this right now...But at least they are empty. Patch and paint this week, decide style and order stuff next.
