Its Saturday 1-28-23.. Whats up with You??

Been up all night with sick kids, one that keeps throwing up. My wife is sick too, so looks like I’m playing Doctor dad all weekend. Kids movies and tea.
We had plans to go camp at Borrego Springs for the weekend but looks like thats not happening. Hope everyone has a better weekend than my plans.

Getting my trailer ready for its new owner. Also putting together some things to send along with it.

Maybe go for a little hike this afternoon.

Tomorrow...????  Not sure.

Smoking a Tritip later, working on firewood, praying it doesn't snow much next few days.

Got a flat of Guinness cans to work on...

Trip to Kartek for some goodies,  probably hop on the tractor and clean up the backyard.  Work on the rail some, maybe….

School. The class today is "Controlling industrial electricity 1 ". Finally a class that teaches me something that I will deal with directly. The last 3 years have been foundational classes, useless except to pad the tuition bill.

Getting a bunch of my bicycle touring gear ready for a new home. Totally amazed at amount of equipment I have.

Was supposed to be getting on a plane to San Fransico for my brother's Celebration of Life but it was postponed.

I haven't seen my step sister in 3 years, my step brother in 15 years. They are my step dad's kids from his first wife so his step kids. He adopted them.

They lived with us for 6-8 years growing up. My brother Derek was an awesome musician up in San Fransico and passed away due to Lyme's disease. He was only 56 and had 'long term Lyme' as it was explained to me. Weakened his heart and he died already a couple of times over the last few years and was resusitated by his girlfriend in those instances, I think 2-3 times. I wasn't told about it until he had passed. She found him in the shower 11/6/22.

Anyhow, trip was cancelled as we were going to be in Union Square and my sister said they cancelled the deal because of potential riots/protests up there after that TN body cam footage was released.

Bummer, over 100 of his friends and family were to attend at a bar where he played at often.

So the event will be pushed out. Gonna try to be productive and thinking of him. We share the same favorite guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn, so I'll be running that station on my Pandora today and thinking of him. I'm one of 6 kids and he was the oldest.

PS. I got this Pyramid shot idea from this picture of us in Garden Grove where we grew up in a 3 bedroom 1400 sq. foot house. Picture of the Pyramid probably 1986. Picture of us all at the airport 1980. I've been doing the pyramid deal with my wife and 4 kids since my 17 year old was 2, last one in Kauai 6 weeks ago. I have many (mostly in Kauai) for that time stretch and will eventually make a pyramid photo book for everyone in it and keep adding, etc.

Taking my daughter to softball evaluations around noon.  Birthday party for my wife's 93 YO grandmother this evening.  Tomorrow I'll be cleaning up from last weeks Glamis trip.  Trying to figure out a better intake for my '85 ATC 250R.  Borrowed a TRX250R aluminum air box from @wapawekka for some ideas and measurements.   All while watching Supercross.

Daughters softball is starting back up so spent the day at evaluations. Gonna watch Supercross tonight and avoid all the traffic from the 91 closure the rest of the weekend.

Dented my little truck about a year ago and got a quote for 1900 to fix it - and decided, f it...finally got sick of looking at it and bought a fender from a truck of the same year and color - $550 shipped. Wasnt too bad, about 2 hours to swap it out.  No after repair pics, but here's what a 1900 dent looks like.
