I did not want to coattail off the other thread but I am doing something similar to the other thread and need some advice to advise my non-rv electrician.

The background:

I had a 2018 RV and had my Xantrex inverter/converter Freedom 458 installed by an RV back in 2018. That one got totalled and I bought the exact same model RV but a 2022. Everything is basically identical.

The way it worked was:

It powered all outlets in the RV, the fridge (because its on the same bank) and acted as a converter to charge as well.

I had to turn the breaker off for the converter permanently as I figured out on the first trip when the genny was on the whole RV was going haywire. Everything worked great for 3 years except popping and burning up a couple GFIs in the bathroom from my wifes coffee maker and hair dryer running on the inverter.

My electrician and I uninstalled and we took a few photos, below.

He is claiming he has a better way to wire it. I dont know what that is as he has not started yet.

Is anybody experienced enough to view the following photos of the original install and tell me if it looks good or if anything should be changed? I am nowhere near an electricain and hate wiring, but I believe the inverter was wired to the breakers.

Any help is super appreciated.

Well I can tell you that model is a modified sine wave inverter.  IE cheap.  Its going to cause things to act funny and also can burn things up.  Thats why you're having GFCI issues and problems with heating element items.

You want the battery cables as large as you can make them and as short as you can make them.
