I am in the process of getting sandcar insurance and am curious as to how much insurance you guys are getting to cover other peoples injuries if god forbid you have an at fault accident or get sued despite it being the other parties fault. Some of the limits I was quoted seemed low as medical bills can get big real quick. Does anyone run an action camera while duning to use like a dash cam just in case?

You worried about your passengers or another vehicle? I have 100/300 but I'm careful about who is in my vehicle. Don't drink and there is no at fault the way I understand it.

Half a mil liability. My worry is running over a child out unsupervised on a bike or quad.  Add, this was only thought of after watching my grandson out on his bike!

I am worried about both do to someone else's negligence. I don’t drink and drive so not concerned about that. Thanks for the numbers.

Thanks for putting a number on it. The thought of a child did cross my mind but a drunk guy driving his buddies SxS was my first concern.

Insurance is to protect you financially in the event of a claim/lawsuit. Your coverage amount should not be some random number but based on the value of your assets that could be taken from you if you were sued and found to be negligent. If you have $1,000,000 in assets that could be seized and you only have 500K coverage that could be a big issue. Your insurance broker (or attorney) should be advising you.

When has anyone ever been sued by an occupant of their off-road vehicle because of an accident? Never. Might as well put seatbelts on camp chairs in case someone falls over while sitting around the fire.

Don't think I would be willing to spend money for insurance to protect entire asset. Litigation works, most, not all attorneys, will shoot for the easy money rather than a protracted lawsuit.
