Can anyone ID this carb or guide me in the direction of a rebuild kit? I’ve cleaned it and everything runs good, but the float bowl is staying stuck open and fuel constantly pours out of the tube while it’s running.

It’s on an older XR50 with a 110 kit.

If you don't drain your gas before storage the jets get clogged. Pump gas is the culprit. My guess it's the pilot jet and needle seat valve (controls float level) are dirty. Could be also be possible that the needle float valve is not sealing and needs to be replaced. I use carb or brake clean and strands of 12 or 14 gauge wire to clean the pilot, since the hole/s are very small. I'm going to guess its a PE 24 carb. Factory Mini may sell rebuild kits but I would try cleaning it first.

Shake the float, make sure it doesn't have fuel in it. If it doesn't next up would be Place a clean hose on the fuel inlet side. Remove the bowl No blow into the hose and lift the float. See if it stops. Alot of times your float is set to low, and it lets fuel go by.

last time around I gave it a good cleaning with a carb cleaning kit, and carb spray. Fired up quick, revved and idled perfect... just kept pouring fuel out onto the floor through the overflow line.

Gotcha. Well you can test it as MWB described and adjust the float level if needed. However if the float valve delrin doesn't seal replace the flow valve (which comes in most rebuild kits)

When you cleaned it, did you strip it down completely? Did it have a removable seat, and was it push-in, or screw in? Push-in seats usually have an o-ring, and if you put the carb in a dunk can without removing it, the o-ring can be damaged by the caustic solution, allowing fuel to flow around the seat, and not be metered through the needle/float.

I have a pump tester from back in my small engine days to pressurize the inlet and see if it holds pressure.

I did tear it all down, but this was a year ago and then just parked it. I will have to open up this carb and post pics here for those who know more than I do. I'd like to get it going to bring it out on the trips.
