Hello All,
Since River Dave and I acquired GlamisDunes.com I have sat back, looked around, and been a bit quiet. Many people know RD from his forum River Dave’s Place. I may not be as recognizable but will be known by a few for my time in the offroad industry with Devious PowerSports hence the name Devious Chris…
I have been in the dunes my entire life, literally. The day I was born my dad left my mom and I at the hospital and went to Sand Lake (Oregon Dunes) to celebrate the fact that he had a son. I started off riding in Jeep’s and Buggies and then got my ATC 90 when I was 6. I continued to upgrade and eventually had a Tecate 250 before getting into the Banshee craze. I bought my first VW rail at 16, which got totaled by a drunk driver in front of my house. Insurance, my parents, and a lot of hard work built me a new Invader frame buggy that I had until 9 years ago when I moved to Lake Havasu. I am also an avid boater, jeep guy, car fanatic, etc….
Professionally I am an auctioneer in the wholesale car industry, own a sunglass shop, and work for Eliminator Boats. Covid taught me to diversify so that is exactly what I have done.
In 2012 I started Devious PowerSports which was drop shipping parts and working off the Rzr forum. In 2014 we went brick and mortar and opened an Arctic Cat Dealership which moved in 2016 and added Polaris. We sold in 2021. I made many great friends and incredible memories during that time. Dave Kuskie and Tim Gantz became great friends of mine through that process and were the beginning of my Glamis education. And man let me tell ya I love driving in Glamis!!! I’m a better follower than I am a leader as the dunes are so different than what I am used to driving.
I have a wonderful wife and four amazing kids 18, 14, 10, and 5.
I look forward to connecting with the members here and forming more lifelong friendships.
Devious Chris
