Howard Stern warns Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Matthew McConaughey against starting political careers

The worst part of celebrity’s is the fact they start believing their own bullCrap. And think everyone wants to hear it.

For sure, and Stern makes a really good point that while everyone loves these two now, when they have to take a position on something they'll lose half of their fans and support, no matter what position they take.

Cancel Culture won't allow it. Irrelevant shit gets dragged out the closet.

Just make movies and enjoy life IMHO for those guys.

I love Howard until he turned into a political talk show last year, spewing and spreading all the propaganda. More pu**y and c*ck jokes :default_tc:

Heard the episode.  As politicians become more irrelevant and pathetic, expect to see celebrities come in their place.

I'd take The Rock right now over China Joe.

Exactly! Huge fan since he came to KLOS in 1993. Going to SIRIUS was a great move for us fans but then he made it only about $$ with pushing the merger with XM. I had SIRIUS in 2006, a a few years before he showed up and I was excited for the new content. Then the merger destroyed the music channels and they became top 40 radio with commercials, DJs yapping all the time, dropping channels, merging channels. It sucked.

I quit listening to Stern after his fluff piece interview with Hillary Clinton a hear or so ago. Switched to podcasts and got Spotify.

The Stern show is dieing a slow death.

This!

With politicians gaining so much off our dime, very blurred line between them and celebrities anyway.

100% agree.

That interview, and several others, just broadcasts his hypocrisy.

Never was a Stern fan, can't stand the typical New York A-hole who thinks the world revolves around them and he was there King.  I knew as soon a he went from terrestrial radio where he had a limit to what he could do and what he could get fired for, or at least fined. He could go on and on about how he was the greatest thing but as soon as he could drop an eff bomb he became tamed, as soon as he tried to top Simon Cowell as the biggest A-hole on TV and failed he was done.  He now is a cross between Phill Donahue and Geraldo.  He has turned into the Arsenio Hall of Radio shows, no longer can he say he is bigger than Johnny Carson he is lucky he isn't smaller then Conan.

Politics has gotten way too much pub. Social Media and the EFFN news channels has ruined our country. What ever happened to the Schwinn bicycle and skate boards? Get off your phone and go ride down a hill on the front of your buddies handlebars. You won't care about who's in office! Peace
