That initial tune detonation gave me the piss shivers. Lol35 minutes ago, onanysunday said:
They did that a few years ago in Bakersfield at the HRR. Freaked me out until i realized what they were doing. LOLRemember in the old days the AAFuel cars would warm up on Alky then switch to Nitro, running on Alky they sounded like a mild engine then when switching to Nitro it sounded like a completely different engine. DON~~~
You know why, right? Alcohol is 30% Oxygen by weight, and requires double jet size to burn the alcohol at full HP. Without the larger jets, it will sound milder. On a related note, I was able (Lucky) to visit the last Edelbrock "Cackle Fest" at his Torrance shop. Like a dummy, I got real close and almost burned my eyes out. Fun Times..Remember in the old days the AAFuel cars would warm up on Alky then switch to Nitro, running on Alky they sounded like a mild engine then when switching to Nitro it sounded like a completely different engine. Full Tilt because it had a injected small block on Alky with a five speed transaxle and all the top dune cars still had VW's DON~~~if that was only Alcohol & not nitro could it have been "full" tilt or "mostly full" tilt????? LOL.
I kid, that was a bitchen hot rod!!
I get it just making fun of the Nitro subject. that thing was a total beast!!!Full Tilt because it had a injected small block on Alky with a five speed transaxle and all the top dune cars still had VW's DON~~~
