House for rent?? San Diego

Im looking at the possibility of a decent promotion at work but it would require me to move out of my current place.
Anyone in the San Diego County have a rental or know of one? IDEALLY looking for east county, 3br 2ba, garage or large shed and some room to breath.
We care more about the surroundings than the house itself. We'll gladly live in a dump if we have some peace and quiet.
A place that needs a lot of upkeep and yard work is welcome.
Not sure I even want this new position but figure I should start getting ducks in a row, just in case....
