Went to Glamis this weekend and car ran fine on Friday. Parked the car at camp and when I shut off the car all lights tuned off. Lights are independently switched. Noticed the 4 ga ground wire terminal had broken in half. It was getting late so decided to mess with it in the morning. Didn’t have a terminal to fit on a 4 gauge wire so decided to grab smaller wire I believe 10 or 8 gauge to use as the ground.
Car turned on and everything was back to normal. Was following my buddies from wash 10 and down sand highway. What disaster with everyone wanting to just cut in front of you and not caring. Anyhow as we got further away from Camp RZR I decide to open it up a little. Notice the car would not accelerate. At slow speed like 15 mph (no tach or speedometer) car felt fine. Once I wanted to go faster it would not accelerate almost as if it was in limp mode. Smash the pedal and it would sound as if I was on and off the gas pedal although foot was on the pedal the whole time. Decided to go back to camp and load my buggy.
Did notice that when stopped and when I would press the gas pedal it would stutter almost as if it let out some air out then start moving. Almost felt as if car was going to turn off but didn’t
Where should I start looking first?
No evidence of problems prior to this.
