2013 Grand Cherokee, 5.7. We've been having a coolant leak somewhere that I haven't nailed down. Just been adding to reservoir occasionally and procrastinating.
I can see some spray did/is happening but never caught it happening. These elbows pictured look very suspicious.
Just read today that in 2013 Jeeps moved to using OAT coolant and it can't be mixed.
What is the story with HOAT vs OAT vs every other coolant. To this day, I only ever "added coolant" to vehicles.
I can't find these pictured connections anywhere in the Hyanes book and online has brought up nothing.
Help?

looks like those fittings are leaking, i know on the chevy trucks there's an o ring inside them that gets worn out.

OAT lasts longer than “regular” IAT coolant but doesn’t protect against corrosion as well. HOAT offers the longer service intervals with better corrosion protection. As far as mixing, that depends on what the maker of the coolant says. I use Fleetguard OAT and they state it can be mixed with all types of coolant.
