The companies Renewal Date is NOV 1st. The price DOUBLED!! That's total BS! We're such a small company with only 4 of us on the plan. United Health is forcing us to drop the company plan and getting individual plans. ObamaCare? There's another Gut Punch! Peace

yea its terrible.  I feel bad for all company owners who are trying to do their employees right, but have to work for a whole quarter for free to be able to do it.

How do you take $1900 a month out of an employees check to cover health insurance for he and his wife? And the company pays 1/2 of him. TOTAL RIP OFF! I'd like to find some other avenue for us BUT.....................I'm loading for Glamis. Need a brain washing. Do you pay the month of NOV and look for new in DEC? Thats the question needing answered before I write paychecks this morning. Peace

Yes look around...I thought there were a couple health care brokers on here... should be able to find something better than that... We went from UH to Cigna, actually I think it's better.....

We don't qualify for a Company Policy since we only have TWO employees on the plan. Everyone else says EFF IT. Too expensive. Peace

Yep, had individual policies for me and wife, 2500.00 a month towards the end. Gotta love it! Paid a sh-t ton of money over the years and never a claim.

Thats our same deal. My employees wife is a sickly person who has a lot of claims each year. Don't want to point the blame. But.........Peace

We have 5 of 6 of our family on Blue Cross. I’m PPO, everyone else is HMO.

You feel like you can't go without it, then when needed nothing is covered and they deny everything else because of some exclusion in the fine print.

But one thing, there is a price for care for those with insurance and another for those without, and you really can't afford the second group.

Maybe set up a high deductible plan and an HSA for the employees, that way the ones using it more need to pay a bit more but at least its pre tax money.

Yeah,.. I don’t even have a mortgage or car / toy payments. , overall insurance and out of the pocket is huge for me.

Also have large life insurance premiums.

it’s lame.

Many people don't even think about benefits when looking for a job.

Years ago, I was a 1099 salesman and my wife worked for MetLife insurance (good benefits), she got laid off due to Obamacare.  We were trying to figure it all out, we decided she needed to look for a job that had great benefits (we had three kids under 14 years old?).  She ended up getting a job at CSU San Marcos in HR.  Full state benefits, pension, and huge discounts for college for our kids.  We figure just with this job change we get over $3500 a month more in just benefits that we didn't have before, this includes my kid's college tuition (which is only $1200 a year at any Cal State college).  Health Insurance is almost free........crazy what a State employee gets.

I feel sorry for small businesses, there is no easy way to provide for employees.
