Have to actually get a cell phone now.....business won't let me use theirs anymore....Best options

Wife has verison...do I just go to costco or ???  Any experts... have the XR for work, I just need a phone ...don't do all the techy stuff with it.

I have had very good luck with the Samsung Galaxy phones.  I will be sticking with them.  I know they are a bit pricy, but they have been solid for me.  WAY more important than the latest widget and feature. 

 
All the major carriers run various promotions that usually offer significant discounts on phones. If you are used to using the Apple OS it be might be easier and less frustrating to stay with Apple products. 

 
I just got a new Samsung Galaxy 14...I think.  It was 280 w/their dealer mark-ups.

The Samsung before that....it went in to service in 2017.  I'd still be using it, but the charging port got to be real finicky, and it wouldn't hold a charge but for about half a day, if I was surfing, or reading the newspaper....yes, I read the NPaper online.

there's a Verizon store on McKinley @ the 91 fwy... we were just there. Run in and tell them what you need... one of the Mgr's is a Norco resident and lives in the Bluffs over by us. They were super easy to deal with when we went. 

 
If you're a Veteran and while not always the "best" service, TMobile offers 40-50% discount.

 
Was with Verizon for years...I switched to Spectrum Mobile, got a new Galaxy S22 phone.

I had just redid our Spectrum TV/Internet/Home phone and got 1 year free mobile service. after that it is 29.99/year unlimited.

Same coverage as Verizon...they use the same cell towers.

I have been happy with the service, no issues at all.

 
Everyone carries the same phones, coverage from any of the carriers is great these days...for simplicity go with the service your wife already has and see what family plans they offer.

Try a few different phones out, see which model feels good in your hands and has the operating software you like to use. Android, Apple, etc. Decide which model you like and the price your willing to pay.

Then go compare the rate plans, who has what deal at the moment will most likely make the choice....everything else is the same.

 
just get a boost mobile for 25 bucks a month.  99 for phone and no contract.  

 
I have a smart phone for my convivence, not everyone else.  So not ideal for people that use allot of data or jabber on the phone allot but for less than a hundred bucks I get a new samsung phone almost every year along with the year of service 1500 minutes 1500 texts and 1500mb of data and it works for me.   Can always add quite a bit for ten or twenty dollars if needed and it carries over every year.  Just the plan is worth that much, but they have unlimited plans too for cheap and I have never gone anywhere it did not work.

We went with Verizon and got 1yr 5G home internet free... was great and is plug n play. My bill is $142 for the 2 lines, Disney and Discovery with $0 for the interwebs

 
Well I went in there. should have paid more attention.... Evelyn...TOLD her I want the FREE phone deal... oh ok.... we have this one for the Iphone 13.... ok... didn't have glasses on ... turns out they bill you for the phone and credit you back $5.00 mo less...  So she friggen lied.........wasn't on the quote but was on the receipt....IN THE BAG....

Needless to say  I'm going back after work today.... and my name shows  up as the OLD USER when I call people...  F this crap.  

 
STAY AWAY FROM THAT VERISON STORE ON MCKINNLEY... LIED TO ME....  and the manager basically said...oh well I can swap out your phone if you want.....wait  your customer LIED to me and I guess you just don't care.... Wow.... so disgusting.  They are worse than used car salesmen.
