I remember my parents and brothers in law going to the 200th birthday. My Dad's last duty was running the O club at El Toro and Tustin in the late 60s. 28 1/2 yrs and got out as a CWO4. He was a cook. He was gonna do something easy like fly helicopters, but said why? He met Mom in the Marines...she was a woman marine in WWII. Lost Dad in 91, he's buried in Riverside with his friends.
Happy Birthday Marines...and thank you all for your service. My parents have GREAT friends from their service. Not many left today from their time. I always told people with Pride that both my parents are Marines. Explains a lot of my problems... ha.
