I have always used wheel bearing grease for my hitch ball & the load levelers where they slide up into the hitch.  it turns to paste by the first or second trip, &  I was considering trying something more like a CV grease that is a bit thinner.

What do you guys use to grease your balls?? LOL

I think this is where you want to use a moly grease. Its designed for really high shear strength. But its not the best for high speed wheel bearings.

I bought some rebuilding a dirt bike motor. The manual called for moly grease at certain spots.

If you ever need chemicals check out yamalube for prices. Its usually cheaper than Honda and also cheaper than autozone brands. Negative is its not readily available.

I use the red and tacky grease just a little  on the ball and wipe that chit off when you unhook!  Otherwise you will get grease on you pants and then  on the seat. The wife gets in the truck and gets grease on her and that's how the divorce started

DAMM, Sarah is good @ greasing up that ball.  LMAO.

It barely moves. Anti seize it and cry later.
