Looking to buy a couple of GPS modules for 2 cars. Old school style. Lowrance fish finders seems to be what we used to do. Sunlight readable is key. Anyone have any ideas? Not looking for cheap, just want something I can read during the day. Old IPOD with Leadnav was nice but couldn't see it during the day. RAM mounting is probably fine with an integrated antenna.

I like the old large screen Lowrance units found on ebay. I have bought a few of them and they are great for a basic GPS. You can load custom routes onto smaller SD cards and view them also. I use one along with my Polaris ride command and Onyx on my phone for backup.

@sddoublee My buddy is selling a Lowrance hds 5m in Menifee for $250. Comes with the axia alloy mounts. Came out of his gen 3 funco. Works great zero issues. I was able to mess with it before he pulled it out of the car. I could read it no problem during the day. Might be what your looking for. Here is a link to his FB market place post.

I got an old Lowrance Baja 540C for mine. Used Axia Alloys clamps for it. I think I was about $250 into the whole setup. If you're looking for something newer, I just swapped it to the HDS7.

I sure like my simple little handheld on a RAM mount for my CanAM...Garmin GPS - I plan to use it on the little buggy I'm building. You can set the screen to be a large arrow - I also like the MOB feature.

I have a Lowrance Baja 540 in my SU. It's an older unit but works fine. I still prefer to "raw dawg" while duning.Screenshot_20241206_083510_Gallery.jpg

Ebay has lots of Lowrance units for sale. I use an Elite 7.

Do you happen to have any pictures of either the 540C or the HDS7 mounted with the axia clamps?

Thank you.

Sorry for the delay. Here ya go. This is the Baja 540C. The HDS7 is mounted in the new dash, not with AXIA clamps.
