Government shutdown & Glamis

I was out there. Ranger station was dead at 9am. Left at 3pm and the ranger funcos were out. Government was alive!
 
It is closed. I confirmed it by asking my neighbor who asked his wife's hair dresser, whose neighbor has a grand child that is thirteen and wants to be a BLM Ranger someday. So he knows. I am going to head out in a few weeks and I will stay there the whole weekend so if it does open up, I can be the first to post about in on Glamis Dunes. I will ride the dunes as well in case just Gecko is closed, I will update accordingly. Also, I will issue a report on the current Ghost Camping situation and what campers are being towed! :rolleyes:

Correct, the shutdown would have those on hold and the feds who process them are likely furloughed right now. I have an SRP waiting to submit as soon as they are back in the office and thankfully my vets permit is already handled on a multi-year.
