Yes , I bought a huge yellow flag for whip, as well as lights for rail ,Safety first, thank you brotherHave a blast bud. Get ready for more people than you have ever seen there. Huge waits to leave, and sometimes to get in. Lots of new drivers of side by sides so be careful and expect someone over every rise.
Yes , I might not like the amount of people either , but have to see it once, thank youThats camp rzr weekend. 1000's of $2000 dollar trucks pulling a U-Haul trailer with a 15 years worth of payments RZR on it. If you stay in the dunes you will be fine as 90% of the them stick to the standard straight line destination to destination rides between white claw stops. Cant wait to miss it!
Best advice right here. Bottom line have fun, be safe and report back! One notable difference between then and now, regardless of which week you go - every car has a GPS and a lot of people have enough suspension to compensate for not reading the dunes... they'll plot a straight line to a destination and go - so I'd advise against following any particular tracks and plan on making your own. I'll save the debate about good and bad and destinations and all that as to not derail your thread... bottom line, even if it's well worn don't accept that it's a good line.
It’ll be obvious when you’re in the danger zone: it’ll be a straight line 8 lanes wide covered in chatter (RZR) bumps. Avoid that route whenever possible. One notable difference between then and now, regardless of which week you go - every car has a GPS and a lot of people have enough suspension to compensate for not reading the dunes... they'll plot a straight line to a destination and go - so I'd advise against following any particular tracks and plan on making your own. You will also see them on the road dragging their Home Deport Tie Downs behind them, pretty easy to spot.Thats camp rzr weekend. 1000's of $2000 dollar trucks pulling a U-Haul trailer with a 15 years worth of payments RZR on it. The straps that aren’t ran through the interior anymore, right? 500lbs each, don’t want too much strap breaking the seats…You will also see them on the road dragging their Home Deport Tie Downs behind them, pretty easy to spot.
i work by the in n out off the 10 close to palm springs. the tie down jobs i have seen make me laugh, i have seen multiple go over the hood of rzrs. with the little 1" harbor freight orange tie downs. when you seen them on freeway leave plenty of space or get Infront of them. The straps that aren’t ran through the interior anymore, right? 500lbs each, don’t want too much strap breaking the seats…
Dont forget if not the uhaul trailer its a home built single axle trailer with the god awful welds and construction. Looks like a homie hook up buildYou will also see them on the road dragging their Home Deport Tie Downs behind them, pretty easy to spot.

its a crazy weekend out there, but for sure its something to be seen at least one. the hill on saturday night is insane, go for a bit, park out of the way and enjoy the madness, the road out of the hill looks like the 91 through yorba linda/corona on a friday night. i dont understand why but so many SxS broken at the narrow part of the road leaving the hill, take the dunes in and out if you can. if camping in the washes leaving might be difficult, last year i was in wash 15, packed up ready to leave at 9am. wash road was just stopped, no one moving, ended up taking the rzr back out of the trailer and didnt leave till about 3pm. even then it took about an hour to get from 15 to the highway. if leaving sunday is your plan, i would plan on leaving early in the morning. camp rzr area is cool to see once, ferris wheel is kinda cool, can see glamis from high up. but one of those things you do once. not sure if there are any bands playing, have not seen anything promoting it yet. last year was everclear, didnt go watch them. but the year before that was face to face friday night and pennywise saturday night, that was the main reason we went that year. last year dumont was closed due to the tropical storm, that could of been the reason for the amount of people there last year, i had never seen it so packed. this year with vets weekend being the weekend after camp rzr, vets will be our kick off weekend not camp rzr. enjoy and be safe!
Yes , my kids will start coming out with me and I am sure I will pick safer weekendsI love glamis but I hate the crowds. The kids that work for me love going out there on camp rzr weekend for the craziness. I get it, I remember loving it too. But I wont ever subject myself to that anymore, Im just getting too old and worry too much about the safety of my kids.
